Did you catch My Handmade Wardrobe on the Catwalk at NEC Sewing for Pleasure Show 2023?

Huge thanks to everyone who came to see us on the catwalk stage at the Sewing for Pleasure Show at the NEC on Saturday 18th March! We absolutely loved showing our pattern collection in our first ever catwalk show!

Our wonderful models who made our garments sing on the catwalk! It was fabulous to see the My Handmade Wardrobe styles worn as they were intended - with confidence and joy, on real sewists, just like you!

We showcased samples of our patterns including some sneaky peeks of some upcoming releases which were very well received! We’ll be launching our next pattern very soon!

We bought our newly repackaged and re-designed paper patterns to the show and customers said how they were impressed by the quality of the pattern paper, the ease of use of the new A4 format with handy toggle fasteners and the improved instructions booklets.

Paper patterns are now available from Crafty Sew and So.

We also launched the Pincurls Patterns debut collection, consisting on the Marnie Cullotes and the Maya Jumper, which proved to be so popular we sold out of all stock straight after the show!

Paper patterns are now back in stock and available from www.pincurlsvintage.com and PDFs are available from www.etsy.com/uk/shop/pincurlsvintageuk

Find out more about the Pincurls Patterns Collaboration.

AND… As if that wasn’t enough, we also invited previous attendees of the Crafty Sew and So event The Dressmakers Ball to come a twirl in their creations from previous Balls ahead of the launch of tickets for this years event !

The display of talent and joy of dressmaking was no less than at the original event with our fabulus models overjoyed to have another chance to show off thier amazing creations and inspire others to attend The Dressmakers Ball and make their own fantastic gowns!

Tickets for the 2023 Dressmakers ball are now on sale here - but hurry, they are selling fast!

We really enjoyed out time at the Sewing for Pleasure Show!

We also ran informative workshops on inserting an invisible zip into a matched seam and I shared insights into why learning how to measure your body correctly is so important for a perfect fit in dressmaking on the Live Talks stage. We’ll share these tutorials in future videos on our NEW youtube channel.

We loved meeting so many of our new and previous customers at the NEC show, we hope you can join us for one of our future events!
