Hi, I’m Sarah from My Handmade Wardrobe Patterns

We launched MHW Patterns in 2016 and we have been using our patterns to teach people how to sew their own wardrobes in our workshops and in their own homes ever since.

About the designer

MHW patterns are designed by Sarah Laws in her studio in The Makers Yard, Leicester.

Sarah trained in fashion design at Westminster university before working in the fashion design industry for 7 years.

She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and experience to enable everyone to make their own clothes and feel great about their bodies and skills.

About the patterns

No matter how long you have been sewing for, we believe you should have fun making your clothes!

So, when we write our instructions we don’t assume you have a lot of sewing experience, or hide important details (such as seam allowances). Everything you need to know before you sew is clearly laid out in an easy to follow format.

All My Handmade Wardrobe Patterns feature in-depth instructions, supported by additional techniques tutorials and advice. Our step-by-step photographs and instructions are written in everyday language and any sewing techniques or terms are clearly explained along the way to ensure you will understand the process for this make and lots more to follow!
