Wrap Skirt

A super quick make, this simple style is packed with skill building techniques.

This dartless simple wrap skirt is a classic style and the perfect introduction to some fab techniques that will take you from sewing newbie to skilled up sewist! With French seams, narrow curved hems, concealed button fastening and self-fabric ties, there's so much to learn!

We're pleased to confirm after extensive testing (walking to and from our studio!) there'll be no surprise flashing with this full coverage wrap. We’ve also got you covered with clear photographed step by step instructions to help you construct your perfect wrap skirt.

You can make the wrap skirt in sizes 1 – 9.

  • Have fun with new-to-you fabrics. If you’ve not sewn with lightweight, more slinky fabrics before, this is a great pattern to try them out. It requires 2m of fabric for the size 1 – 8 and 2.6m for size 9 so it’s not going to break the bank if you choose a beautiful more luxurious fabric.

We recommend any light to medium weight woven fabric. Suitable fabrics include: cotton lawn, cotton poplin, viscose challis, chambray, linen, lightweight denim, lightweight wool, satin.

  • The Wrap Skirt can be made in Sizes 1 – 9.

It is vitally important, when sewing your own clothes, to take accurate measurements of your body, and not rely on the sizing you expect to buy on the high street. For this pattern we have opted to use sizing 1-9, which approximately covers UK sizes 8 – 26. Measure yourself first to choose the right size for you!
